The Embodied Rewire Method™
A Counselling-Led Approach to Lasting Change
The Embodied Rewire Method™ is the therapeutic framework at the heart of my practice.
It was developed through my experience as a counsellor and focused hypnosis practitioner, bringing together counselling principles, subconscious work, and nervous-system-aware practice.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms or surface behaviours, this approach gently works with the deeper emotional and subconscious patterns that influence how we think, feel, and respond to life.
Many of these patterns formed early in our lives, often before we had the awareness or support to process them.
Over time they can show up as anxiety, self-doubt, repeating relationship dynamics, habits that no longer serve us, or a persistent feeling of being stuck.
The Embodied Rewire Method™ supports a gradual shift in these patterns by working with both the mind and the nervous system.
Change is not forced.
It unfolds through safety, awareness, and integration.
How the Method Works
This approach combines counselling with focused hypnosis to gently access the subconscious patterns that shape our experiences.
While many people imagine hypnosis as losing control, the process used here is very different.
You remain aware and present throughout the session while entering a relaxed, focused state that allows deeper emotional patterns to be explored and updated.
Counselling provides the therapeutic container for understanding patterns and experiences, while focused hypnosis allows us to work with the subconscious mind where those patterns are often held.
Together, these approaches create the conditions for meaningful change that can extend beyond the session itself.
The Stages of the Embodied Rewire Method™
Although every person’s journey is unique, the process generally moves through several stages.
NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION
We begin by helping the body settle into a sense of safety.
When the nervous system feels supported, deeper work becomes possible.
RESOURCE ANCHORING
We identify and strengthen internal resources, feelings or memories connected to safety, strength, or calm that provide a stable foundation for the work.
PATTERN EXPLORATION
Together we gently explore the emotional patterns, beliefs, or experiences that continue to influence present-day responses.
COMPASSIONATE RECONNECTION
Often these patterns formed at times when we needed understanding or support.
This stage allows those earlier parts of the self to be met with compassion and integration.
BELIEF REWIRING
Through focused hypnosis, outdated subconscious beliefs can be softened or released and replaced with more supportive internal narratives.
INTEGRATION AND IDENTITY SHIFT
Finally, the changes are anchored through visualisation, embodiment practices, and integration so they can become part of how you naturally move through your life.
How This Differs From Traditional Hypnosis
Traditional hypnosis often focuses on suggestion alone, attempting to change behaviours by introducing new ideas while in a hypnotic state.
The Embodied Rewire Method™ takes a more therapeutic and collaborative approach.
It combines:
• counselling-led exploration of patterns and experiences
• nervous-system-aware practice
• focused hypnosis for subconscious change
• integration support between sessions
This creates a process that is not only about shifting behaviour, but about supporting deeper emotional and identity-level change.
You remain an active participant throughout the work, with space to explore, understand, and integrate each step of the process.
